Who we are

OffshoreSailor.no is a free weekly newsletter covering the offshore industry, operated from Norway. You can reach us at hello@offshoresailor.no.

What data we collect

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:

• Email address — required to send you the newsletter
• Subscription source — whether you signed up via the website or another channel
• Signup date — when you subscribed

We do not collect your name, location, payment information, or any other personal data.

Why we collect it

Your email address is used solely to send you the weekly OffshoreSailor newsletter. We do not use it for any other purpose.

How we store it

Subscriber data is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Access is restricted and protected by row-level security policies.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party. Newsletters are sent through Google Workspace (Gmail). No other services have access to your data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Unsubscribe at any time via the one-click link in every email
• Request access to the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data from our systems
• Request correction of any inaccurate data

This website does not use cookies or any tracking technologies. We do not use analytics services.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify subscribers via email. Minor updates will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
